We’re Flying High: Eagle Heights Wins A TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award!

We’re absolutely chuffed to announce that Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation has been awarded a prestigious TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award, placing us among the top 10% of things to do worldwide!

This award isn’t just a shiny certificate for our reception desk (though we’re rather proud of that too) – it’s recognition from real visitors like you who’ve taken the time to share their experiences and recommend us to fellow wildlife enthusiasts. From families discovering the majesty of our soaring eagles to couples enjoying romantic alpaca treks, your reviews have helped us soar to international recognition.

What Makes Eagle Heights Award-Worthy?

As one of the UK’s original Bird of Prey centres, we’ve been perfecting the art of wildlife education and conservation for nearly three decades. But what truly sets us apart isn’t just our 30+ species of magnificent creatures – it’s the personal touch that makes every visit memorable. Our visitors consistently praise the knowledge, passion, and genuine care our team brings to every interaction, we feel so lucky to have such a fantastic team here.

Summer at Eagle Heights

Summer is when Eagle Heights truly comes alive, and there’s never been a better time to discover why we’ve earned this international recognition. Our daily opening hours (11am-5pm) give you plenty of time to explore, and the longer days mean more opportunities to witness our spectacular flying displays.

Here’s what awaits you this summer:

Flying Displays That Will Leave You Breathless Watch our birds of prey demonstrate their natural hunting skills as they soar overhead. From the impressive wingspan of our White Tailed Sea Eagle to the lightning-fast strikes of our Falcons, these displays showcase millions of years of evolution in action.

Hands-On Experiences Our award-winning animal experiences are booking up fast for summer! Handle up to four different owl species in our Owl Experience, perfect for ages 14 and up. For the more adventurous, our Eagle Experience (ages 18+) lets you work with these magnificent predators whilst enjoying tea and cake in our peaceful surroundings.

Family Adventures Summer holidays call for special memories, and our Husky Hike delivers adventure in spades. Trek through the beautiful Kent countryside with our pack of rescued huskies – it’s fitness, fun, and furry friends all rolled into one unforgettable experience.

Meet Our Meerkat Family Our Meerkat Experience (ages 11+) remains one of our most popular offerings, and for good reason. These charismatic characters each have distinct personalities, and getting to know them whilst learning about their conservation story makes for both entertainment and education.

More Than Just Animals

What many visitors don’t expect is how much Eagle Heights offers beyond our animal collection. Our tearoom serves up delicious refreshments perfect for a summer lunch surrounded by nature. The kids can burn off energy in our playground whilst parents relax knowing they’re in a safe, educational environment.

We’re also proud to be autism-aware and fully accessible, with wheelchair hire available and staff trained to ensure every visitor feels welcome. Recent feedback from The Maypole Project, who support children with complex medical needs, highlighted how our team goes above and beyond to create inclusive experiences.

Supporting Conservation Through Your Visit

Every ticket purchased, every experience booked, and every item bought in our gift shop directly supports our conservation efforts. We’re not just about entertainment – we’re actively working to protect wildlife through our breeding programmes, local reintroduction projects, and environmental education.

This summer we’re continuing our work with local bird of prey populations with an exciting partnership with a local golf course. Your visit helps fund these vital conservation efforts whilst supporting the daily care of our resident animals.
