Welcome to the new Eagle Heights website!

Spooky Fun Awaits: Eagle Heights Halloween Trail is Back! πŸŽƒ

Halloween is creeping up on us faster than a barn owl swooping through the night, and we’re absolutely thrilled to announce that our spine-tingling Halloween Trail is returning to Eagle Heights! If you’re looking for a frightfully fun family adventure this October half-term, you’ve come to the right place.

What’s All the Fuss About?

Our Halloween Trail isn’t your typical trick-or-treat experience – it’s so much better! We’ve hidden mysterious questions about our incredible animals all around the foundation, creating an educational treasure hunt that’ll have the whole family scratching their heads (in the best possible way). Think of it as a wildlife quiz meets Halloween adventure, with a dash of spooky atmosphere thrown in for good measure.

As you wander through our grounds, you’ll discover fascinating facts about our feathered, furry, and scaled residents. Did you know that our owls are practically silent hunters, making them the ultimate Halloween predators? Or that some of our birds of prey have eyesight so sharp they could spot a mouse from the top of Canterbury Cathedral? These are exactly the sorts of brilliant bits of knowledge you’ll uncover as you follow the trail.

When Can You Join the Fun?

Mark your calendars, because our Halloween Trail will be running on:

  • Friday 24th October
  • Saturday 25th October
  • Sunday 26th October
  • Friday 31st OctoberΒ (Halloween itself – how perfectly spooky!)
  • Saturday 1st November
  • Sunday 2nd November

We’ve spread it across both weekends to give everyone plenty of chances to join in the Halloween hilarity. Whether you’re planning a half-term treat or want to celebrate Halloween in a truly unique way, we’ve got you covered.

The Sweet Reward

Now, what’s a proper adventure without a treasure at the end? Every child who completes our Halloween Trail will receive a special goodie bag filled with treats and surprises. It’s our way of saying “well done” for being such brilliant wildlife detectives! The excitement on children’s faces when they reach the end and claim their prize is honestly one of our favourite parts of the whole experience.

A Small Fee for a Big Cause

There’s a modest participation fee of just Β£1 per child on top of general admission to take part in the Halloween Trail. Now, before you think we’re just trying to line our pockets with Halloween pennies, let us tell you where every single pound goes – straight into the care of our amazing animals.

Running a wildlife foundation isn’t cheap and these small contributions genuinely make a difference. Your Β£1 helps buy food for our meerkats, provides veterinary care for our birds of prey, and ensures our huskies have everything they need to stay happy and healthy. It’s a brilliant way to have fun whilst directly supporting wildlife conservation.

Perfect for All Ages

One of the things we love most about our Halloween Trail is how it brings families together. Grandparents become wildlife experts, teenagers surprise themselves by getting competitive about animal facts, and little ones develop a genuine fascination with the natural world. It’s educational without being stuffy, challenging without being impossible, and spooky without being scary.

Don’t worry you’ll still have plenty of time after the trail to explore, learn, and enjoy each other’s company. Plus, you’ll still have time to visit all our other residents and catch our flying demonstrations – it’s a full day out wrapped up in Halloween magic.

Booking is Easy as Pie (or Should We Say, Pumpkin Pie?)

If you’re booking general admission online, you can add the Halloween Trail as an extra during the checkout process – simple as that! Alternatively, if you prefer to be spontaneous (we love a bit of Halloween spontaneity), you can simply turn up on the day and register at reception. Either way works perfectly, so choose whatever suits your spooky planning style best!

Ready to join us for some Halloween fun? The trail runs during our normal opening hours (11am-4pm during our winter schedule).

So dust off your Halloween costumes, gather the family, and come join us for what promises to be a brilliantly spooky celebration of wildlife. After all, nature has its own Halloween magic – from the silent flight of owls to the mysterious nocturnal habits of our many residents.

We can’t wait to see you on the trail! πŸ¦‰πŸ‘»
