Rescue and Rehabilitation

Creating Second Chances Since 1996

Our Commitment to Animal Welfare

For over 25 years, Eagle Heights has been a sanctuary of hope for animals in need. As one of the UK’s largest Bird of Prey centres, we’ve dedicated ourselves to rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing forever homes to animals from diverse backgrounds – each with their own story of survival.

Our rescue work encompasses animals from various sources:

Our Approach

Success Stories

Our most notable rescue programme involves our beloved Husky pack. We’ve successfully rescued and rehabilitated over 30 Huskies, many of whom faced euthanasia in kennels. Through dedicated care and understanding, these magnificent dogs now thrive in our sanctuary.

One of our most memorable residents was Shrek, a rescue camel who found peace at Eagle Heights after enduring circus abuse. During his decade with us, Shrek became a cherished member of our family, forming an unlikely friendship with his neighbour, Donkey, and touching the hearts of thousands of visitors.

Looking Forward

While we’re proud of our rescue achievements over the past quarter-century, our work continues. Every admission receives expert care, respect, and the chance for a better life.
